Le Pont du Gard

The Pont du Gard is the major element of an aqueduct from Uzès to Nimes. Built by the Romans around the year 50, it is the Aqueduct Bridge the best preserved of the world. An operation for protection and development is underway on the site. Since the year 2000, visitors are greeted at the Domaine du Pont du Gard, site valued and classified "Grand Site", associated with relaxation and discovery.

Mine Témoin d'Alès

La Mine témoin d’Alès reveals, along 650 meters of galleries, the great epic of the mine, from the nineteenth century to today. With a helmet, you will discovers how workers mined the bowels of the earth, with ever-advanced processes, what elders called "Burning stone". 1 hour and 20 minutes of unforgetable visit - 1 hour guided in the galleries and 20 minutes video. Les aigles de Beaucaire

Amazing show with birds of pray, freely flying and all presented by professional falconers in traditional costumes and with ambiance music echoing in the château Royal. Eagles, falcons, vultures and many other different type of birds will be presented and without cages. Come admire their show and their talents in flight.

Source Perrier

Exhibit of "la grotte Chauvet-Pont d'Arc"

There is 35,000 years ago, humans invented the image. Discover the most ancient paintings and engravings unique in the world, through dioramas, slide shows and the new video, a realization of the three inventors.

Timetable: Open all year for groups. Reservation is required from the 15th of November to the 15th of March. From the 15th of March to the 15th of November it is open to all but always closed on Mondays. Visits are guides and study facilities available upon request.

Parc ornithologique du pont de Gau

At the heart of the Camargue, a natural reserve of 60 hectares, enables you to enjoy a nature walk where you can discover over 300 species of wild birds very close up. A large group of South of France bufaloes stay in the area. If you desire to understand more of the reserve and all of the species living there, you can hire an ornithologist to assist you while on your visit. Please make sure that you contact the park office for a reservation.

To cool off after a long walk, a cafe-bar is available from which you can relax and continue admiring the natural environment.

Le Tiki III - Mini Croisière Camarguaise

On board of the TIKI III, typical boat with a wheel propperler, you will discover the heart of the Camargue region which is only accessible by water ways. From the entrance way of the Small Rhone to the heart of this natural region, you will be guided by the comments of the captain. You will discover the natural flora and fauna, and mid course you will stop to discover a large group of wild bulls and horses.

Steam train des Cévennes

Attention au départ - Fermez les portières ! ("Get ready for departure and close the doors"). A trip of 13 kilometers trough the heart of the Cévennes. D'Anduze to Saint-Jean-du-Gard, discover the Cévennes and its amazing sceneries. There is a stop at La Bambouseraie for those wishing to visit the bamboo park. (see details below)

La bambouseraie de Prafrance

Exotic park unique in Europe. Famous for its giant bamboo forest and its national collection of rare bamboos. Come discover rare plants, amazing bamboos, aquatic gardens, victorian greenhouses, the bambousarium, a maze entirely from naturally grown bamboos, the bamboo-shop, and the location where 2 famous French movie were made. You will need about 1 to 2 hours to visit the entire park at your own pace or guided.

Mas gallo-romain des Tourelles

First World reconstitution of a Gallo-Roman cellar, at actual size and in working condition. Exhibitions, slide shows, children's games, archaeological material are all available to visitors. An area was landscaped as a sacred forest and another as a Roman vineyard. Things to see & do:
